Accessibility Statement
Last Updated: 29 May 2025
At UK Parents Ltd, we are committed to ensuring digital accessibility for all users, including individuals with disabilities. We are continually working to improve the user experience for everyone and to ensure that our website, www.ukparents.org, is accessible and usable by as wide an audience as possible.
What Is Web Accessibility?
Web accessibility means that people with a wide range of disabilities—whether visual, auditory, cognitive, motor, or otherwise—can access, understand, navigate, and interact with the web effectively. Accessible websites aim to provide all users with the same or equivalent experience, using both native browser functionalities and assistive technologies such as screen readers, voice recognition software, and keyboard navigation.

Our Accessibility Efforts
We are actively working to make this site conform with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA, as published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).
As part of this ongoing effort, the following adjustments and features have been implemented on our site:
-
Use of structured, hierarchical headings for clarity and screen reader compatibility
-
Language settings defined for all content to support assistive reading tools
-
Logical and intuitive content ordering across pages
-
Descriptive alternative text for all meaningful images
-
High-contrast colour schemes to improve visibility and readability
-
Reduced use of motion/animation to avoid triggering sensitivities
-
Accessibility support for multimedia content (audio, video, downloadable files)
-
Compatibility with keyboard-only navigation and common screen readers
-
Use of an Accessibility Wizard to identify and correct potential accessibility barriers

Partial Compliance Notice
We declare partial compliance with WCAG 2.2 Level AA standards due to the inclusion of third-party content not under our control. This may include embedded feeds or media from external sources such as global news outlets. The accessibility of these specific elements may vary, and we are unable to guarantee full conformance for content we do not own or manage.
Physical Accessibility UK Parents Ltd does not currently operate a physical location accessible to the general public. Our services and activities are conducted entirely online or by appointment via remote communication platforms.
